How much does it cost to ship a car to or from Arizona?

Arizona's five published routes span several distance bands, so your price depends on which route the car is taking, not on Arizona as a state.

We don't price a state, because a price needs two endpoints and a state only has one. California to Arizona is short enough to fall in the lowest distance band we publish. The Texas, Illinois, Ohio and New York lanes run considerably longer. This is a reference price range for this distance band, not a quote for your shipment. Your actual rate varies depending on: vehicle details, the specific pickup location, the delivery location, the timing of pickup and delivery, any additional services, driver availability, and other market conditions. For your real price, use the quote form. The route table links every lane page, and each one has its own reference range.

Who handles registration paperwork for a car shipped to Arizona?

Registering your car, getting it inspected, or getting a VIN check done in Arizona is up to you. We don't handle any of it.

We arrange the carrier and the move. What a new Arizona resident does with the vehicle once it's off the truck is up to you; we don't handle it.

Which Arizona routes do we cover?

We publish reference ranges for 5 Arizona routes, and every one of them ends in Arizona.

Arizona is one-way in our current route set: cars move in from California, Texas, Illinois, Ohio and New York, and none of those five lanes runs the other way yet. The Illinois, Ohio and New York routes into Arizona are part of our own named volume corridors. Each route in the table links to its own page, with that route's distance, reference price range and transit time.

What route does the truck take into Arizona?

The California-to-Arizona run stays on I-10 for 360 of its 373 total road miles, while the Texas-to-Arizona run covers 1,065 miles on I-10, I-20 and I-30 by way of El Paso and Tucson.

California and Texas reach Arizona in very different ways. The California run is almost entirely one interstate, crossing the low desert from Palm Springs and Blythe to the border. The Texas run is longer and crosses two states before it arrives, passing through El Paso, then Tucson, before continuing toward Phoenix. Tucson sits directly on that route, so a Tucson pickup or delivery is easier to schedule on the Texas lane than a stop somewhere off the corridor.

Is there a busiest time of year to ship a car to Arizona?

We can't name a busiest or cheapest month for Arizona because we have no Arizona shipment-volume record to base one on.

Arizona is widely known as a winter destination for retirees and seasonal residents, but we have no figure for how that pattern moves our own Arizona bookings.

Does Wave Auto Transport ship cars to Arizona?

Yes. We arrange car shipping into and out of Arizona as a broker, and every move goes to a vetted, licensed, insured carrier in our network.

We have no office, terminal or yard in Arizona, and nobody on the ground there. Door-to-door means the driver gets as close to your address as a full-size carrier can legally and safely get. Around Phoenix, that usually means the whole street. In a gated or master-planned community, an HOA may not let a seventy-five-foot carrier past the entrance, and the driver arranges a nearby handover instead.

Where does Arizona sit in Wave's own shipping network?

Arizona is one of our three named snowbird destinations, alongside Florida and Texas, and it also sits on two separate named volume corridors: Illinois/Ohio to Arizona/Texas, and New York to Arizona.

Two different patterns feed Arizona. The snowbird pattern brings cars from the Northeast, northern Illinois, Maryland and Virginia toward Arizona for the winter. The IL/OH-to-AZ/TX and NY-to-AZ corridors are separate, year-round volume patterns, and they show up as our Illinois, Ohio and New York routes into Arizona.

What military or auction infrastructure sits in Arizona?

Arizona has Luke Air Force Base near Phoenix and IAA Phoenix, one of the auction locations we regularly pick up from and deliver to.

Luke Air Force Base is a major fighter training base west of Glendale, relevant to PCS moves for Arizona-based service members. We have no agreement with IAA. We pick up from and deliver to auctions like it regularly and work around the auction's own schedule. Neither one changes what you pay: a Wave shipment is priced by distance and vehicle type, same as every other route.

Where Arizona's shipping volume sits

The Phoenix-Mesa-Chandler metropolitan statistical area holds 5,186,958 people and ranks 10 among the country's metro areas, and it's where Arizona's route distances are measured from.

Phoenix is the anchor city we measure from. We arrange shipping from anywhere in Arizona, not only from there. Tucson also sits directly on the Texas-to-Arizona corridor, so a pickup or delivery there fits the route without a detour.

Arizona car shipping FAQs

Does Wave Auto Transport ship cars to Arizona?
Yes. We arrange car shipping into and out of Arizona as a broker, and every move goes to a vetted, licensed, insured carrier in our network. We have no office, terminal or yard in Arizona, and nobody on the ground there.
Which Arizona routes does Wave Auto Transport publish a reference range for?
Five: California to Arizona, Texas to Arizona, Illinois to Arizona, Ohio to Arizona and New York to Arizona. All five run into Arizona. None runs out of it yet.
How much does it cost to ship a car to Arizona?
It depends on the route. Each of Arizona's five lanes falls in its own distance band, and each lane page has its own reference range and a link to the live quote form for a real price.
What route does the truck take from Texas to Arizona?
It runs on I-10, I-20 and I-30, passing through El Paso and then Tucson before continuing toward Phoenix. Tucson sits directly on the route, so a pickup or delivery there is straightforward to schedule.
Is Arizona an origin or a destination in Wave's network?
A destination only, today. All five of Arizona's published routes arrive from another state, and none leaves Arizona yet.
Is Arizona one of Wave's higher-volume corridors?
Yes, in two separate ways: Arizona is a named snowbird destination alongside Florida and Texas, and it sits on two named volume corridors, Illinois/Ohio to Arizona/Texas and New York to Arizona.
What military or auction infrastructure does Arizona have?
Luke Air Force Base near Phoenix, and IAA Phoenix, one of the auction locations we regularly pick up from and deliver to.
Can a car carrier reach my street in the Phoenix area?
Usually, yes. Most Phoenix-area streets are wide enough for a full-size carrier. In gated communities and some master-planned developments, an HOA may not allow a seventy-five-foot rig past the entrance, and the driver arranges a nearby meeting point instead. That's the normal outcome there, not a failed delivery.
Can I ship a car to Arizona on an enclosed carrier?
Yes. Enclosed transport is available on every route we broker, including every published Arizona route.
