What is wholesale vehicle transport and who is it for?

Wholesale vehicle transport is shipping for a wholesaler: someone who buys cars for a dealer, or trades cars on behalf of several dealers, and so moves inventory for different customers.

A wholesaler is an intermediary. The cars in a wholesaler's hands usually belong to, or are headed for, someone else's lot. On the buying side, the wholesaler purchases a car from a seller and needs it moved to the dealer it was bought for. On the selling side, the wholesaler sells a car to a buyer and needs it moved from where it sits to that buyer. Wave arranges the shipping for both.

What discounts and billing options do wholesalers get?

Wholesalers get a value-based discount and a volume-based discount, and can choose consolidated or separate billing and invoicing.

This page lists no discount amounts. Billing is the customer's choice: one consolidated invoice, or separate invoices.

These are not quotes. Your price for a shipment comes from a live quote.

A wholesaler and a dealer moving its own stock

A wholesaler moves inventory for different customers; a dealer moves its own stock. Wave serves both, on separate pages.

When wholesale vehicle transport is NOT the right choice

If you are a dealer moving your own stock, use dealer auto transport. If you run a rental or corporate fleet, use fleet vehicle transport.

A wholesaler is not the same as a dealer moving its own inventory, because a wholesaler moves inventory for different customers. A dealer shipping only its own cars belongs on the dealer page, and a company moving vehicles it owns or leases belongs on the fleet page.
